“As many as three accidents were reported in 24 hours, that claimed as many as 22 lives. In 2009 - 14,376 people, in 2010 - 12,894, in 2011- 14,611 people died on them. In the first 6 months of 2012 alone 8,412 lost their lives.”

There are so many elephants die in accidents on railway tracks, particularly in the North-East region of India and people on unmanned railway level crossings all over India time and again. One is forced to think, “is life so cheap in this country?”
