| This banana grows very well in Seattle. JA&F has grown this line successfully for over 30 years. In a 22" pot it will grow to 5-8 feet tall. Grows well indoors in good light. Take outdoors in June; bring inside in October. Keep in well-drained soil high in organic matter. Must remain moist to touch but not waterlogged. Feed with a fertilizer solution such as 6:2:12 or 9:3:27 with trace elements every two months or with extended release pellets per recommendation.
With good luck it will produce delicious sweet bananas when there are 9-12 mature leaves. The photo shows a bunch grown in Seattle. |
