This early 20th century mandau hilt from the Orang Ulu people of Sarawak was obtained from Kelvin Teo in Kuching in 2000. It is carved from deer antler showing aso/dog motifs. It is wrapped with fine rattan and the blade would have been held in place by hardened sap from a jungle tree.
